The Ibex 35 was trading practically flat in the mid-session on Monday, but remained at the level of 8,300 points, in a week in which investors are attentive to the PMI publications for services in November of the European economies and United States and the final revision of GDP for the third quarter of the euro area.

This Monday it became known that the volume of retail trade in the euro zone registered a contraction of 1.8% last October compared to September, when it had increased by 0.8%, which is the biggest monthly decline since December 2021, coinciding with the escalation of inflation to record levels, according to data published by the community statistical office, Eurostat.

In addition, the Sentix index for December has shown that investor confidence in the euro area has recovered to its highest level in six months.

In Spain, it has been known that the PMI services index has climbed in November to 51.2, from the level of 49.7 registered in October, and has returned to growth territory. In contrast, the services PMIs for Germany and France have been in the contraction zone for the eleventh month, below 50.0.

In this way, the Ibex stood at 8,383.2 points, with Grifols as the bullish value, thanks to a revaluation of 6.97%. Listed behind were Aena (2.77%), Colonial (2.48%), ArcelorMittal (1.95%), Merlin (1.68%), Acerinox (1.26%), Red Eléctrica (0.88 %), and Repsol (0.68%).

On the opposite side, the biggest falls were registered by Indra (-2.56%), Telefónica (-1.03%), IAG (-0.93%), Inditex (-0.87%), Ferrovial (-0 .69%), CaixaBank (-0.67%), Rovi (-0.59%) and BBVA (-0.55%).

The rest of the European stock markets opened lower with falls of 0.4% for Frankfurt, 0.3% for Paris and 0.1% for London.

Likewise, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at a price of 87.26 dollars, with a rise of 1.98%, while Texas stood at 81.64 dollars. , with a rise of 2.08%.

Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0537 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium stood at 100 basis points, with the interest required on the ten-year bond at 2.832%.
