The Ibex 35 index of the Madrid Stock Exchange began this Thursday's session with a drop of 0.70%, which led the Madrid selective to trade at 7,983.40 points with investors pending business results and inflation data from the United States.

Among the few increases at the opening of the Ibex 35, those of Ferrovial stood out, with an increase of 0.59%; Redeia, with an increase of 0.24%, and Endesa, with a rise of 0.17%.

At the opposite extreme, ArcelorMittal led the falls with a decline of 1.96% after announcing a net profit of 9,000 million dollars (about 9,020 million euros) in the first nine months of 2022, which represents a fall of 17%. compared to the same period last year.

Likewise, other Ibex 35 values ​​with significant falls at the opening were Inditex, which lost 1.52%, as well as Repsol, with a decrease of 1.36%.

Among the representatives of the banking sector in the Madrid selective also falls prevailed. In this way, Santander left 1.34% and Caixabank 1.10%, while BBVA fell 0.68% and Bankinter 0.58%. On his side, Sabadell lost 0.94%.

The rest of the main markets of the Old Continent were also trading in negative at the beginning of the session. Specifically, the Frankfurt Dax fell 0.33%, while the London Ftse100 fell 0.24% and the Paris Cac 40 fell 0.34%.
