The Ibex 35 yields 0.77% in the half session and remains below 8,400 integers

The Ibex 35 lost 0.77% in the half session on Monday, which led it to stand at 8,352.2 integers and thus lose the level of 8,400 points that it achieved last week.

Investors are waiting today for the appearance of the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, in the European Parliament. In addition, the market will be attentive to the publication of the CPI data for November in the euro area, and the employment data and the Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) Price Index in the United States, among others.

In this context, only three companies registered increases in the mid-session: Rovi (1.18%), Grifols (0.92%) and Banco Sabadell (0.30%). The rest presented falls, especially Mapfre (-4.41%), whose shares were trading today without the right to receive the dividend of 0.06 euros that it will distribute this Wednesday. Behind, they were followed by Fluidra (-2.79%), Solaria (-2.50%), Repsol (-2.15%), Red Eléctrica (-2.06%), Acciona (-1.65%) and Naturgy (-1.50%).

The main European markets were also trading negatively, with a fall of 0.42% in London, 0.86% in Paris, 0.89% in Frankfurt and 0.94% in Milan.

For its part, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at 81.67 dollars at the opening of the stock market, with a decrease of 2.4%, while Texas traded at 74 .38 dollars, with a fall of 2.5%.

In the currency market, the euro was losing ground against the dollar and was trading at 1.0482 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium stood at around 99 basis points, with the interest required on the bond at ten years in 2.993%.
