The Manitoba squad saw the Blueshirts' first-round pick land in their backyard because of this win.

Last March, the Jets traded forward Andrew Copp to the Rangers for youngster Morgan Barron, two conditional second-round picks in 2022 and a fifth-round selection in 2023.

One of those two second-round picks could become a first-round pick if the New York club gets its ticket to the conference finals.

Copp has become a very important cog in the Rangers' successes since wearing their uniform.

In 16 regular season games, he has amassed 18 points. The 27-year-old center also had six goals and as many assists for 12 points in 14 playoff games.

The American could become an unrestricted free agent on July 13, signing a one-year deal worth $3.6 million in 2021-2022.

Coming back to the Jets, the team will speak eight times in the next draft. The event will take place on July 7 and 8 in Montreal.
