The judge awards Cox Energy the group of productive subsidiaries of Abengoa

SEVILLA, 18 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Third Section of the Mercantile Court of Seville, in charge of the voluntary bankruptcy requested by the multinational Abengoa, has resolved to transfer to Cox Energy "the comprehensive production unit of the assets and liabilities of the insolvent companies", thanks to the offer presented by the signature and its subsequent improvement.

This is stated in an order of said instance disseminated by the Communication Office of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).

Cox Energy's offer commits "to maintaining the activity and employment of the productive unit, citing 9,505 workers." It also "assumes litigation of bankrupts with the commitment to pay 50% of the amount recovered from the bankruptcy, 30% for privileged creditors and 20% for the bankruptcy" and "the commitment to pay 50 million mass credits for projects, concessions , in execution", according to the order to which Europa Press had access.

"Comparatively, it is concluded that, despite the doubts due to the circumstances, considering the commitment and willingness shown with the contribution of liquidity, taking into account the activity and employment that are guaranteed, the liquidity offered is shown to be sufficiently founded, solid, credible, and feasible, being possible to carry it out, for what it seems to have the capacity, not including conditions, such as those of the others regarding intra-group credits, which by themselves do not make approval possible," the order indicates.

"According to this, comparatively, it is concluded that it is the most favorable to the interest of the contests, proceeding to approve it," he adds.
