"I don't know what he was thinking, he had his reasons for doing what he did and please don't judge him," Salvador Ramos' mother Adriana Martinez said, adding that she had no of words to express the actions that her son has committed.

The latter, visibly upset by the events, asked the deceased children for forgiveness as well as the families of the victims.

“Forgive me, forgive my son. I know he had his reasons, ”she said on the airwaves of the Televisa channel, affiliated with CNN.

She believes that he would have liked to “get closer to these children instead of paying attention to the bad things.”

Salvador Ramos' mother described him as a quiet child.

“He was calm, he didn't bother anyone, he didn't do anything to anyone,” Ms. Martinez said.
