The president of Seopan, Julián Núñez, has clarified that the statement issued this Friday by the employers' association of the large construction companies defending Ferrovial from the government's attacks for its decision to move its headquarters to the Netherlands is only his personal opinion.

Núnez explained that "neither the intention of issuing a press release, nor its content, were previously made known to the associated companies."

"Consequently, the statement issued by Seopan must be considered solely and exclusively as my opinion and assessment," Núñez emphasizes in an explanatory note.

The Association of Construction Companies and Infrastructure Concessionaires (Seopan), which represents the largest companies in the sector in Spain, including Ferrovial, sent a statement this Friday in which it warned the Government that it would exercise as many actions as may correspond to it in the event of a deal unequal or discriminatory towards the company.

The president of Seopan justified in that message the "need" to defend the public image and reputation of its associated company, pointing out that Ferrovial is exercising its legitimate right and in strict compliance with Spanish and Community law.
