women in The sector of video game French are now represented, with announcement Wednesday, September 13, of creation of association Women in Games (WIG), France. It's mission is to encourage women to join sector, to share ir experience and ir expertise, and to give m more visibility in media.

" Women in Games France is a collective initiative of women and men of video game industry, whose ambition is to raise barriers to entry of women in this sector in France, explains in a press release Audrey Leprince, president of WIG France. We want to encourage women to make a career within industry through initiatives based on education, training, awareness, and mutual support. "

The association is open to both professionals in sector, students, journalists, e-sports, and editors of any gender. It is directed by Audrey Leprince, co-founder of studio The Game Bakers (Squids, Furi), and co-directed by Julie Chalmette, executive director of Besda France (The Elder Scrolls, Doom, Fallout...) and president of union of video game publishers, SELL.
