The Savoy Signature hotel group elects Roberto Santa Clara as its new CEO

MADRID, 24 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Madeiran hotel group Savoy Signature has presented its new CEO Roberto Santa Clara. The manager, with a broad and solid career in the marketing and advertising sector, is recognized for his long experience managing multinational companies, especially in the aviation, tourism and consumer goods sectors.

With more than 20 years in executive positions, Santa Clara began his professional career in 1996 as marketing director of 'Empresa de Cervejas de Madeira', also leading teams in the Azores and Cape Verde implementing various marketing and branding campaigns.

In 2004, he made the leap to the tourism industry with a progressive career in different positions, including the deputy management of the Madeira airport or Lisbon airport until June 2015.

This is the year in which Santa Clara joins the Madeira Promotion Bureau as executive director of the tourism office until 2019. In October of that same year, Santa Clara returned to the aviation sector and the ANA group, and was appointed in February 2020 director of Madeira airport.

On July 17, Roberto Santa Clara took office as CEO of Savoy Signature, assuming the direction of the executive committee of the collection of luxury hotels.

The hotel company justifies this decision by "the need to reinforce the management team due to the growth experienced in recent years and the unequivocal will to consolidate the operation in Madeira and the expansion to mainland Portugal".
