According to initial reports, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) was called to a residence on Anoka Street at around 10:30 p.m. in relation to a stabbing.

Two people were found dead at the scene while a third person, "stabbed several times and seriously injured, is still in hospital," the OPS said in a statement Tuesday morning.

These three stabbing cases are being investigated by the OPS Homicide Unit.

Another person also lost their life following an interaction with police at the scene.

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit has been tasked with investigating the death.
