Several residences on a street in Fort Erie, Ont., were rocked as waves reached homes, Reuters reported.

As the “Blizzard of the Century” passed, sub-zero temperatures combined with heavy snow created these spectacular scenes.

A drone captured these images worthy of a magical setting. For the inhabitants of the sector, they would have done well without this intense low pressure system.

A state of emergency was declared in the region on December 24. Roads had been closed to traffic due to snow showers and strong winds.
