A person is in critical condition after his car was shot at by another vehicle on Friday evening in Town of Mount Royal.

The attempted murder took place around 10:30 p.m. on chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, near chemin Lucerne, according to Marianne Allard-Morin, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). The suspect vehicle fled. The driver of the second vehicle, in her thirties, was injured in the upper body and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. One of the two passengers fled before the police arrived and the second was not injured. The scene was protected and SPVM investigators were dispatched to the scene, including the canine unit, to determine the causes and circumstances of the event.
