Treasury raises to 50,000 euros the limit exempt from guarantees in tax debts transferred to the CCAA

MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published this Saturday the Order of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function by which the limit exempt from the obligation to provide a guarantee in requests for deferral or installment of debts derived from taxes is raised to 50,000 euros ceded whose collection management corresponds to the autonomous communities.

In this sense, the exempt limit for not being obliged to provide guarantees in the request for deferment or installment was 30,000 euros.

The objective of the measure is to make it easier for taxpayers to comply with their tax obligations by giving greater flexibility to requests for deferral in a context of temporary financial difficulties derived from the rise in prices caused by the war in Ukraine.

Precisely, last March the Government also approved an Order to extend, as of April 15, from 30,000 euros to 50,000 euros the limit exempt from presenting guarantees in the request for deferment and installment of debts managed by the Tax Agency and other organizations of the State Public Treasury.

Therefore, the norm published this Saturday in the BOE also equates the exempt limit in the case of tax debts assigned to the Autonomous Communities.

In this sense, it is considered convenient to establish the same threshold for the exemption, while allowing taxpayers to benefit from the cost savings of increasing the limit that does not require requesting guarantees to request the deferral and installment of a tax debt.
