A 41-year-old motorcyclist died overnight from Friday to Saturday after hitting a recreational vehicle (RV) in Trois-Rivières.

The accident took place around 10:30 p.m., at kilometer 194 of Highway 40. According to initial information from the Sûreté du Québec, the driver would have considerably damaged the RV during the impact before being ejected from his car. .

The man was taken to a hospital center, where unfortunately his death was confirmed. The person driving the RV was not injured.

An investigator and a collision investigation officer were dispatched to the scene. Highway 40, closed to allow investigators to better understand the circumstances of this accident, was reopened in the middle of the night.
