Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his traditional Christmas greetings to Canadians on New Year's Eve, recalling that Canadians are lucky "to live in a country at peace."

War in Ukraine with repercussions as far as Canada, inflation, health measures, Justin Trudeau acknowledged that the year 2022 could have been difficult for many.

“But I know Canadians are going to be there for each other in 2023 – because it's in our nature to do so. We are here to help each other. And when times are tough, we stick together,” he said.

The Prime Minister encouraged Canadians to take advantage of the holiday season to find their loved ones and above all to remember “how lucky we are to live in a country at peace”.

“Canada is a country where families can live their faith freely and be proud of the communities they represent. In the new year, let's stick together to build a better future for all Canadians."
