Two people died following a fire at a home near Comox, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, on Friday afternoon.

Comox Fire Department Assistant Jim Larivier said a man and woman were found dead in the rubble of a property in a small rural town near Comox.

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation, he also explained.

The identity of the victims has still not been released.

No other people were injured as a result of the fire.

Larivier also mentioned that the house was completely on fire when the firefighters arrived.
