The gross domestic product (GDP) of the United Kingdom registered an expansion of 0.1% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous three months, when it had grown by 0.1%, as confirmed by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). for its acronym in English).

In this way, the British economy, the second largest in Europe, was 0.5% below the level registered in the fourth quarter of 2019 at the end of the first quarter, before the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Between January and March, the services sector experienced growth of 0.1%, in line with the previous quarter, while production increased by 0.1%, after stagnating in the last quarter of 2022, and construction grew by 0 ,4%.
