Urbas sells logistics land in Madrid for 25.5 million euros

MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Urbas has sold a package of land with more than 300,000 square meters of gross area in an industrial urban development located in the Henares logistics corridor, in Madrid, for 25.5 million euros, as reported by the company.

The sale and purchase operation was carried out with an investment fund under the 'turnkey finalist land' modality, in line with Urbas' experience in comprehensive land management, with special focus on the urban planning, reparcelling and urbanization.

"At the current time, with a logistics market that generates great appetite for national and international investors, but with a shortage of ready-to-use land, it is essential to develop new land to meet the demands of the main operators focused on location and the need for plots of great extension", explains the general director of Inmobiliaria de Urbas, Javier M. Prieto.

The company thus continues to make progress in the management of this industrial urban development, which consists of a total of nearly two million square meters, located on the A-2 axis, next to the Inditex logistics center. It is the only bag of developable land of an industrial logistics nature in the municipality of Meco with approved planning.

Since Urbas took over the management of the West Sector, with more than 600,000 gross square meters, the development progresses and is in an advanced stage of management and execution, with the compensation board already constituted, the initial approval of the urbanization project , and now working on the reparcelling project.

In parallel, it has also encouraged Obras de Madrid to advance in the urban management of the Eastern Sector, with 1.3 million square metres. "The end result of all this will be one of the most outstanding logistics macro-projects, strategically located in the Corredor del Henares, Madrid's residential, economic and business hub and global logistics hub in southern Europe," the company explains.
