Standing tall in his white shirt, inmate Vladimir Orestil, 40, pleaded guilty to having lived on the fruits of the prostitution of two victims, then aged 19 and 24, with whom he had relations in 2012 and in 2019.

"He tells the victim that he's not 'pimping' her, because they're a couple. The accused is unemployed, received social assistance and lived on the victim's income, ”said Stéphanie Gilbert, Crown prosecutor.

It is also the money of his second victim who would have financed his rap album in 2019, according to what an investigator told the court.

The man who calls himself 'Oma' in the music industry has confessed to sexually assaulting and assaulting one of the victims 'almost weekly', as well as uttering death threats to the other.

"On at least one occasion, the victim took refuge in her bed because, according to her, it was less painful to receive blows from the broom while she was under the covers," she continued.

Ten to twenty customers a day

He also pressured his victims to work more, even though one of them testified to having sex with 10 to 20 clients a day for months.

"He decided what she ate [...] He chose the perfume she should put on, her clothes, her underwear," continued the lawyer.

The parties requested a pre-sentence report and a psychosexual evaluation from Judge Nancy McKenna before pleading on a sentence.

The Crown has nevertheless indicated its intention to seek restitution for the victims.
