Vodafone Spain appoints Federico Colom Director of Strategy, Transformation and Corporate Communication

Vodafone Spain has appointed Federico Colom as a new member of the company's executive committee, in which, as of July 3, he will assume the duties of director of Strategy, Wholesale Agreements with Operators and Corporate Communication, all with the "purpose of accelerate the development of the transformation strategy" of the operator and "recover commercial competitiveness and boost growth and profitability again".

As reported by the company in a statement, Colom has a track record of around 25 years in the telecommunications sector and in the technology industry in multinational companies.

In this sense, he was Director of Financial Planning and Economic Control of Vodafone Spain for 8 years, although in the last 15 years he has held different roles in Orange, such as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Spain, Executive Vice President and Director of Control Financier of the Orange group and later as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Orange Slovakia until 2022, "contributing during this period to materializing relevant successes both nationally and internationally," Vodafone highlighted.

Colom has a degree in Business Studies from the University of Valencia and an international MBA from the EOI-Manchester Business School. In addition, in May of this year he completed a senior business management program at IESE Business School.

In this context, both the Director of Wholesale Agreements with Operators, Luis Jiménez, as well as the Director of Strategy, Pilar Marzo, and the Director of Corporate Communication and Sustainability of Vodafone Spain, Jaime de Andrés, will report and form part of Colom's team.

Meanwhile, Colom will report directly to the CEO of Vodafone Spain, Mário Vaz, who has celebrated the incorporation of the new head of Strategy and Transformation of the company.

"Federico is an exceptional leader with deep knowledge of the sector and a long career in the telecommunications sector both in Spain and in international markets. His vision and experience will be essential to accelerate the change of strategy and transformation in our market", has opined.
