The skies of Quebec will be strewn with cloud during the day on Sunday, but clearing is expected in the afternoon in several sectors.

In the greater metropolitan area and much of western Quebec, Environment Canada is forecasting mostly cloudy weather with a 30% chance of snow showers Sunday morning. A clearing will follow at midday.

The night will be cloudy, with winds that will reach up to 15 km / h. The minimum will be -6. Clouds will return on Monday, with light snow beginning in the afternoon. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning. The maximum will be -1. The UV index will be 1 or low, and the wind chill will reach near -9.

Elsewhere in Quebec, Estrie, Beauce, Mauricie, Saguenay - Lac-Saint-Jean and the Quebec region will see cloudy weather with a 30 to 40% chance of snow showers Sunday morning, as well as midday clearing. Winds will reach up to 15 km/h. Charlevoix will post a generally sunny temperature.

In eastern Quebec, Kamouraska - Rivière-du-Loup - Trois-Pistoles, Témiscouata and Rimouski will see an alternation of sun and cloud in the morning, to give way to more clouds this afternoon. The chance of snow is again around 30%. Snow is expected to start around noon Monday.

The weather is much cloudier in Northern Quebec, with towns like Schefferville, Fermont, James Bay and the La Grande River seeing up to 5cm of snow in some cases.

This should start in the middle of the day.

In the Magdalen Islands, we will see a few snow showers in the morning, which should end in the early afternoon, for an accumulation of about 2 cm.
