WhatsApp stops working globally for around two hours

MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

WhatsApp has experienced this Tuesday technical difficulties that have prevented users of the platform in several countries from receiving and sending messages for around two hours.

The difficulties in using the service began around 09:00, at which time users were no longer able to send or receive messages through the application in Spain. When trying to send a message, a clock icon appeared implying an upload process that never completes.

Around 11:00 a.m., the service has returned to work little by little in some countries, including in Spain, according to the Downdetector website, which monitors incidents on different platforms, such as WhatsApp, reported by users through social networks.

Neither WhatsApp itself nor Meta have commented on the cause of the service failure, which has led users to look for alternatives such as the Telegram messaging application.
