QUEENSBURY — A Queensbury woman faces assault charges for allegedly punching a 6-year-old in the face, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said.
About 6 p.m. Tuesday, the sheriff's office said, Mary McIntosh, 58, punched the child, described as someone with whom the defendant is acquainted. The victim had bruising and swelling, police said.
McIntosh was charged with felony assault and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was held pending arraignment in Queensbury Town Court.
The incident was referred to Child Protective Services.
