The Chamber has not been able to adopt on Thursday in a plenary session a proposal for a law of PS, co-signed by Ecolo-Groen, aimed at improving the situation of workers in the cultural sector, strongly affected by measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Four parties (N-VA, CD& ; V, Open VLD and Vlaams Belang) have obtained the text to be examined by the State Council. No emergency will be requested, and referring potentially the vote after the recess.

The proposal is to allow artists to do more experience a decrease of unemployment allowances in case of cumulation with income from artistic activity. This law shall produce its effects as from the 1 April last to cease to be in force on the 1st January next.
