The exonerated acknowledges that she now feels "very calm, because I have been so stressed with all this" and encourages other people to start the process
Repair your Debt Abogados, the leading law firm in Spain in the processing of the Second Chance Law, has achieved another debt cancellation in Catalonia. Through the management of Repara tu Deuda Abogados, the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 2 of Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) has issued the benefit of exemption from unsatisfied liability (BEPI) in the case of Rosa Jesús Loor, who had accumulated a debt of 44,160 euros that she could not meet. SEE JUDGMENT After the favorable resolution of her case, Rosa Jesús Loor explains that I am "very calm, because I have been so stressed with all this." In addition, "I have been in very poor health for a long time," she says. For all these reasons, she recommends that other people take advantage of the Second Chance Law: "have patience, have Faith, keep going, don't stay," she concludes. SEE VIDEO As the office recalls, "Spain was one of the countries that took the longest to incorporate the Second Chance Law into its legal system, a mechanism provided for the cancellation of debts of individuals, including the self-employed. In this way, it complied with the European Commission Recommendation made the year before its approval, which took place in 2015. In September 2022, this mechanism was reformed aimed at speeding up the process and facilitating people's access to this second opportunity".Repara tu Deuda Abogados has helped, since the beginning of its activity in September 2015, people desperate due to the situation in which they found themselves. In fact, more than 20,000 individuals and freelancers have entrusted their case to the firm to start a new life and reactivate themselves in the economy. The law firm is a leader in the application of the Second Chance Law, having exceeded the figure of 160 million euros exonerated to its clients. This amount is expected to grow, considering the high number of procedures that are already underway and the inquiries that are received on a daily basis. This legislation allows individuals and the self-employed to be exonerated from paying their debts as long as they have previously acted in good faith, have not committed socioeconomic crimes in the last ten years, and that the amount owed does not exceed 5 million euros. People who do not meet the requirements to take advantage of this mechanism can also, alternatively, cancel credit cards, revolving cards, mini-loans, loans and mortgages. The office offers them the study of the contracts signed with banks and financial institutions to analyze the possible existence of abusive clauses.
