More than an award...

"The main characteristic of the Marcel Duchamp Prize is to be a collectors' award dedicated to the international promotion of the French scene." This ambition is driven by Claude Bonnin, President of ADIAF, and is achieved through the collaboration of various important players in the art world - artists, collectors, gallery owners, journalists, curators, museums, etc. - both in France and abroad. But more than an award, it is also "a complete support system for artists with the ADIAF program of international exhibitions and residencies for finalists in France (at the Sèvres Manufacture) and in the United States (with a research residency at the Villa Albertine).

ADIAF therefore contributes to highlighting the French scene in its most innovative aspects, to enhancing its global reach and influence and to promoting the vitality of its market: "that is why we at are very proud to support ADIAF and the Prize Marcel Duchamp" (Thierry Ehrmann, CEO of and founder of Artprice).

The Marcel Duchamp Prize

Created in 2000 by Gilles Fuchs, founder of ADIAF, and organized from the outset in collaboration with the Center Pompidou, the Marcel Duchamp Prize selects a winner each year from among four shortlisted artists (French or resident in France). To date, this "collectors prize" (90,000 euros, of which 35,000 goes to the winner) has awarded 23 winners and more than 90 artists.

More than a prestigious distinction, the Marcel Duchamp Prize offers an extensive system of support to artists through exhibitions (more than 50 to date, 20 of them international) and residencies in France (Manufacture de Sèvres) and the United States ( Villa Albertine).

Over the years, it has established itself as one of the most relevant information vectors on contemporary art in France. An ambassador of the French scene, he has acquired notoriety and prestige that place him among the main reference prizes in the world.

ADIAF (Association for the International Diffusion of French Art) brings together 300 French contemporary art collectors committed to supporting artistic creation. Also supported by patrons, including Artprice, the ADIAF highlights the French scene and contributes to its international promotion.
