A Coruña, December 14, 2022

Of limited and artisanal production, with traceable and sustainable cocoa, the new edition of Costiña Chocolat is presented to satisfy the most demanding palates. Crisp, light and intensely flavored they are "the bane" for chocolate lovers: these small rocks of dark, white, milk and caramel flavored chocolate are handmade, with selected Amelonado cocoa varieties from the African island of Sao Thomé and from Santo Domingo.

These delicate pieces of chocolate were born two years ago in response to the situation created by the pandemic. The success achieved by this little sweet made with care as a possible dessert for the restaurant menu led to a gourmet box that houses the Costiña Chocolat. Beneath its fine appearance it hides a pure flavor of cocoa and intense notes.

There are four types of chocolates that differ in the roasting of the cocoa: white, milk, blond or caramel and black chocolate, made from 100% traceable and sustainable cocoa.

WHITE RIB Vanilla notes perfume fine sheets of paillete which, mixed with white chocolate from West Africa, impart an intense flavor of vanilla-scented cream. LAIT COST. Authentic caramel flavor on a 38% milk chocolate couverture and a hint of salt. BLOND COST. An amber and golden color hides an exciting flavor of milk, which is its toasted milky notes, enhanced over the intense flavors of biscuit and butter. COAST NOIR. The dark chocolate couverture from the Ivory Coast and represents the perfect balance between the acidity and bitterness of cocoa, enhanced with floral notes.

Retiro da CostiñaSince 1939 this house has been a reference in the art of hospitality. And since 2008 it has been renewing the confidence of the Michelin Guide with its Star. His cuisine is based on the balance between raw materials, mainly local, and the know-how of the team in the kitchen. Respect for flavor and the innate elegance of the products, their flavors and textures predominate, along with technical perfection in the execution of each process, without artifice, without author delusions, resulting in an effective combination of tradition and innovation. It offers light dishes, full of flavour, intense, but without excess fat, dishes at the right point, in which each ingredient enhances, but never masks the original flavor of each preparation.
