The El Faro shopping center, in collaboration with Castellana Properties, launches 'Date al Play', an event that invites people to practice sports and physical activity to combat sedentary lifestyle and will be held from November 9 to 12.

'Date al play' proposes a series of different challenges and activities with which "to make shopping center visitors aware of the importance of practicing physical exercise as a fundamental part of maintaining a healthy life". In Spain, a sedentary lifestyle is responsible for 15% of deaths with an average of 150 deaths per day. Worldwide it is the fourth mortality problem.

The Councilor for Sports of the Badajoz City Council, Juancho Pérez, in order to highlight the importance of practicing sports, will accompany the attendees this Friday. It should be remembered that in Spain sedentary lifestyle is responsible for 15 percent of deaths with an average of 150 deaths per day. Worldwide it is the fourth mortality problem.

Among the scheduled activities, the Quiz Date al Play stands out, where participants will be able to find out their level of sedentary lifestyle through a questionnaire with questions about their customs and habits. From the hand of experts, they will be informed about the state of their physical activity and, later, the users will put their bodies to work in the main sporting challenge, which will consist of practicing a physical activity on a stationary bicycle, having to complete two minutes of exercise.

This action will be accompanied by a screen that will turn on automatically and whose objective is to motivate the participant by alternating videos and tips on sedentary lifestyle. Likewise, the influencer Maripaz Serradilla, known on the networks as 'maripacitaaaa', will accompany the attendees.

'Date al Play' will be held on the main floor of the shopping center, in front of Hipercor, Wednesday and Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To participate in any of the program activities, all you need to do is identify yourself as a member of El Faro Club, through the QR code that each member has in their App profile. In addition, just by participating, members will enter directly to be part of a draw for a multi-adventure experience for two people.

During the action, multiple prizes will also be awarded and, just for participating, they will get a free drink offered by different restaurants and cafeterias in the shopping center.

'Date al Play' will also have its own web space to publicize the benefits of physical activity and raise awareness of the problems that a sedentary lifestyle can entail. It is a microsite that will host sections such as "Meet and play", a meeting in which the different activities that anyone can do to get in shape, both outside and inside the shopping center, will be shared, as well as recommendations to combat inactivity physical. The Date al play website includes a decalogue where you can consult information of interest about sedentary lifestyle and how to combat it.
