Alcoy September 18, 2023.- The AITEX Research and Innovation Center faces the last weeks of the V Edition of its Business Awards, with which it wants to energize and highlight the national business fabric. In this edition, €90,000 will be distributed again among the winning companies in the three participation modalities: textile, cosmetics and best entrepreneurial initiatives. The call for submission of candidatures ends on October 10, 2023.
€90,000 IN PRIZES IN THREE PARTICIPATION MODALITIES
In this call, AITEX will award a total of €90,000 in prizes. In each category, there are two winners: a first prize of €20,000 and a second prize of €10,000.
You can participate in three different modalities:
The AITEX Award for sustainability and/or innovation in textiles will be awarded to those companies in the textile field that have developed a product or production process with a high degree of innovation and/or that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection.
The AITEX Award for sustainability and/or innovation in cosmetics will be awarded to those companies in the cosmetic field that have developed a product or production process with a high degree of innovation and/or that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection.
The AITEX Award for the Best Entrepreneurial Initiative will reward creativity and innovation in the implementation of new business ideas. This modality is open to national companies from all sectors, legally established between 2020 and 2022.
OPEN PERIOD FOR PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATURES
The deadline to submit the call for the AITEX Business Awards ends on October 10, 2023.
An expert jury made up of top-level representatives from the textile, cosmetic, institutional and business sectors will evaluate the proposals presented from that day onwards. To do this, the value proposition, its innovation or environmental impact, the results obtained, its socioeconomic footprint and the quality of the proposal presented will be taken into account.
Companies whose main headquarters are located within Spanish territory may participate. In order to take part in the call, companies must present all the documentation required in the bases of the aforementioned call.

MEET THE WINNERS OF THE BUSINESS AWARDS
The edition of the AITEX 2022 Business Awards was the first in which there were three modalities of participation, so the number of winners increased significantly. The Valencian companies Interfabrics S.L. (Aquaclean Group) and Jeanología won the first and second prize for textiles, respectively. In cosmetics, the Catalan Montibello (Cosmética Kosbar) took the first prize and the Valencian Babaria (Berioska), the second. Kimera Technologies, Mediterranean Algae and Recovo Lab were the startups awarded in the category of best entrepreneurial initiatives.
In 2021, the Valencian companies Bionicia and Care Application won the two main awards for innovation and sustainability, respectively. Other important and recognized companies such as Manuel Reverte y Cia, Cotoblau, MLS Textiles 1992, Hilaturas Ferre, Naturtex, Tejidos Royo or Francisco Jover have also won the awards that AITEX has awarded in previous editions.
THE AITEX BUSINESS AWARDS CONSOLIDATED AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL
