- Xinhua Silk Road: Deals for 42 projects with an investment of RMB 44.5 billion closed at Wuxi Xishan investment promotion event in east China

BEIJING, Nov. 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 2022 Wuxi Xishan Golden Autumn Investment and Cooperation Promotion Forum held on Nov. 12 in Xishan County, east China's Wuxi City Jiangsu, agreements were signed for 42 projects with a total investment of 44.5 billion yuan.

The signed projects include not only those in emerging fields such as biomedicine, integrated circuits (ICs), new energy and new materials, but also various headquarters projects, high-level research, development and manufacturing projects, and strategic cooperation with funds and institutions.

Once launched, these projects are expected to provide strong support for Xishan to become a model district of high-quality development.

In order to further promote high-quality economic development, Xishan launched 21 investment promotion campaigns starting in September. The 2022 Wuxi Xishan Golden Autumn Cooperation and Investment Promotion Forum was one of the events in the series.

During the forum, Xishan unveiled an incentive measure, which specifies that intermediaries, people from all walks of life, group institutions, and enterprises to help Xishan introduce large industrial projects, science and technology projects and talent development projects will receive equity rewards, and the maximum incentive for a single project can reach five million yuan. By adopting this measure, Xishan aims to expand investment channels, deepen opening up and further optimize the business environment.

The forum also witnessed the start of strategic cooperation of Xishan IC Industrial Park, Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park, Photoelectric Information Industrial Park, Precision Medicine Industrial Park, Internet-connected Vehicle Industrial Park and the CI equipment industrial park, with 6 funds and 6 professional institutions.

At the same time, Xishan has established close cooperation with many professional institutions and think tanks. At the forum held last Saturday, he awarded the title of "Xishan Global Investment Attraction Partner" to a group of professional institutions, including global audit and consulting firm PwC, leading global real estate advisor Savills and the ICwise electronics and semiconductor industry research institute.
