Adapta Book Madrid, a space for the international projection of local authors, has held its first edition in three emblematic venues of the capital: Ateneo de Madrid, TAI University School of Arts and Palacio de Longoria, headquarters of the SGAE (Sociedad General of Authors and Publishers). Adapta Book Madrid is an initiative of Culturia Innovación Social and Nautilus Gestió Cultural I Comunicació, with funding from Madrid City Council and the collaboration of Madrid Film Office, SGAE, Ateneo de Madrid, Netflix, TAI University School of Arts and Adapta Market, which Its main purpose is to facilitate professional connection in relation to literary adaptations to different formats such as feature films, fiction series and new digital content. Likewise, it seeks to promote the city of Madrid as a benchmark in the development of literary adaptations that contribute to audiovisual production and generate synergies for the evaluation of business opportunities between agents linked to literary, audiovisual and cinematographic creation. The organizers of Adapta Book Madrid have highlighted the success of this first edition, whose receptivity on the part of authors and publishers, as well as the manifest interest of the producing companies, demonstrates the scope of this space to make visible the work of young creators and creators. the search for narrative diversity, in addition to strengthening the link between two sectors, the literary and the audiovisual, whose relationship has a long history and which currently enables new formats on multiple platforms.
