These units consist of old, energy-intensive products that have been recycled and then replaced with new, energy-efficient ones. By doing so, the company has saved 434 GWh of energy between 2014 and 2022. This is equivalent to the daily electricity consumption of some 54 million Turkish households. Likewise, this amount is also equal to the annual energy production of 69 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each. By recycling waste products, Arçelik has avoided some 214,000 tons of CO emissions and, in terms of water, the company has saved about 8.3 million tons of water by replacing old technology products with new ones. This amount is equivalent to the daily water consumption of almost 10.2 million Turkish households.
