GUANGZHOU, China, Dec. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- ASENSING, a leader in high-precision positioning technology for smart vehicles, says it is ready to supply global brands with its cutting-edge integrated navigation systems, which are already embedded in some 500,000 vehicles.

Headquartered in Guangzhou, ASENSING will be exhibiting its mass-produced high-performance positioning solutions at CES 2023 West Hall Booth 5778 from January 5-8 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. This represents its participation for the second consecutive year in the most influential technology fair in the world.

Sebastian Voigt, Managing Director of ASENSING EUROPE, says: “Integrated navigation systems are essential for autonomous driving. Our excellent positioning solutions had already brought value to our existing customers in China, so we decided to offer our technology expertise to customers around the world as well.”

Voigt states that ASENSING has three international subsidiaries located in the US, Germany and Japan. ASENSING has recently launched new smart plant projects in east and south China to meet the increasing demand for orders from both domestic and international.

“We are currently in talks with most of the big traditional Western brands. We have done road tests that have been successful, or we are in different phases of development and analysis with some of them,” Voigt commented, noting that ASENSING has received proposals from more than 20 original equipment manufacturers to offer solutions to about 70 vehicle models.

ASENSING cooperates with original equipment manufacturers, including emerging NEV manufacturers like XPeng, Li Auto, and NIO, as well as traditional brands like SAIC, Geely, Chery, etc.

Investment firm Industrial Securities says in research published this month that integrated navigation systems already constitute a "tens-of-billion-RMB market with the advent of the era of autonomous driving." "ASENSING is far ahead in this sector, thanks to its technological strength and its experience in series production."

ASENSING's annual capacity is expected to increase from its current volume of over a million sensor arrays to a volume of several million in 2026 thanks to new smart plants under construction.

“We were the first to mass-produce to offer a solution for the automotive sector that combined IMU and GNSS, which has allowed us to develop a superior algorithm that, in combination with our self-made IMU, shows excellent performance, in particular in terms of accuracy and at different temperatures.”

A unit that fully meets functional safety requirements, ASENSING solutions are designed for level 2 and higher autonomous driving. In addition, they can be applied in multiple situations.
