The 66th annual session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) meets in Vienna (Austria) from March 13 to 17, considered the most relevant international meeting on drug policy, with the participation of representatives of the Member States , international organizations, academia and civil society. During the 66th annual session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (better known by its acronym in English, CND), delegates will discuss the world drug situation and the application of political commitments on drug control, including follow-up on commitments made in the 2019 Ministerial Declaration on the world drug issue and the 2016 UNGASS outcome document on the world drug problem. civil society organizations Civil society organizations will also have the opportunity to make their views known or their work low during the session: a record number of more than 150 side events is planned, most of which will be accessible online, and several written statements have been sent in advance to the Commission secretariat, to which must be added the oral statements made on the ground.
