CASA GRANDE, Ariz., Feb. 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Ecobat, a world leader in battery recycling, is building its third lithium-ion battery recycling facility and the first in North America. The new Casa Grande, Arizona plant will initially produce about 10,000 tons of recycled material per year, and plans to expand its capacity to meet the growing need to recycle lithium-ion batteries.

Ecobat Casa Grande will reuse end-of-life lithium-ion batteries by diagnosing, classifying, crushing and separating materials to produce a concentrated black mass containing the valuable lithium-ion battery materials . It will be located approximately one mile from the current Ecobat Resources Arizona facility, which has been manufacturing anodes with state-of-the-art technology and highly-skilled labor for 15 years. Commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
