RELEASE: Eviation Alice Orders Exceed $2 Billion

Order book for first flight-tested all-electric airliner passes major milestone

ARLINGTON, Wash., Nov. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Eviation Aircraft, a manufacturer of all-electric aircraft, today announced that the order book for its Alice, the world's leading nine-seater all-electric aircraft, has exceeded a value total of 2,000 million dollars.

The Eviation Alice made its first flight on September 27, 2022 at the Grant County International Airport (MWH), in Washington (USA), being the first all-electric passenger aircraft to pass this test. This historic achievement marked the beginning of a new phase in the development of the Alice. Eviation is now focusing on its certification program, in the process of completing entry into service (EIS). Alice's customers so far include US regional airlines Cape Air and Global Crossing and German air carrier EVIA AERO.

"The fact that our order book has exceeded $2 billion is a significant business milestone," said Gregory Davis, President and CEO of Eviation. "This success demonstrates that Alice is leading the industry and meeting market demand for zero carbon flights. We are already seeing a growing clamor for sustainable aviation from passengers, accompanied by an increasingly assertive attitude from regulators. By ordering the Alice, our forward-thinking customers are wisely positioning themselves for the future."

Built from a clean foil design around all-electric propulsion, the Alice is carbon neutral and costs far less to operate per flight hour compared to light jets or high-end turboprops. It is also quieter than combustion engine aircraft, allowing more flights in cities and communities where noise is an important factor. Taken together, these advances promise to usher in a new era of low-cost, point-to-point travel, reshaping the commuter and regional air market. The Alice is powered by two magni650 electric propulsion units developed by magniX, the world industry leader in flight-proven electric propulsion systems.

"With nearly 300 aircraft on order, the Alice is receiving strong customer support. The aircraft is winning hearts and minds in the marketplace with its beautiful design, low operating costs and zero carbon footprint," said Eddie Jaisaree, vice president of Eviation Commercial Sales. "The Alice will not only protect the planet, it will also create a more enjoyable flight experience for passengers. Given the environmental and fuel cost challenges faced by conventional airlines, the addition of the Alice to airline fleets of our clients will give them an important competitive advantage."
