Pooja-Accamma Somaiah dazzles in a George Trochopoulos gown on the red carpet at the 2022 British Fashion Awards

LONDON, Dec. 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Pooja-Accamma Somaiah, who exuded elegance at the Fashion Awards, wore a gorgeous pink and silver striped George Trochopoulos gown with fringe, made entirely from mohair and recycled silver yarn . George, 21, is the creator of Dua Lipa's viral party dress and Emma Chamberlain's sexy gown.

Organized through the British Fashion Council, this star-studded event is attended by A-list celebrities and some of the fashion industry's most influential designers.

Makeup was done by the legendary Kirstin Piggott and hair was done by the fabulous Kei Terada. Kirstin's work can regularly be seen on the covers of some of the world's most influential magazines, featuring models from the likes of Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger. Kei's hairstyle has been featured in multiple issues of Vogue, as well as Harper's Bazaar, V Magazine, the WSJ, and more than 100 other magazines.

Without having the representation of a large agency, she has managed to make a name for herself. This year alone, she has walked on more than 30 runways, including New York Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week.

Pooja-Accamma attended the Fashion Awards alongside Charlotte Dellal, a two-time winner of the British Fashion Awards for Accessories Designer of the Year in 2011 and 2015.

In the words of Pooja-Accamma: "As a woman of South Asian descent, I believe that the breadth of Asian beauty deserves to be represented and celebrated. Fashion is my way of translating a designer's vision so that one feels confident and of the beauty of her body and her skin".

Danelle Meeks, Editor-in-Chief of RedCarpetUpdates, explained: "Pooja-Accamma is certainly a strikingly beautiful face to look for on the US and European runways in 2023. It's only a matter of time before she graces the covers of the leading fashion magazines in the world.
