RELEASE: Hisense advances in the field of laser displays with DLP® technology from Texas Instruments

(Information sent by the signatory company)

QINGDAO, China, Dec. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- During the Global Partner Conference held on Dec. 18, Hisense introduced a new 8K laser display technology enabled by DLP® technology from Texas Instruments (TI). At the conference, Amichai Ron, Senior Vice President of IT, was invited to deliver a keynote address, presenting his strong partnership with Hisense, as well as how the two companies are driving the laser display industry forward.

Since Hisense entered the laser display field 15 years ago, it has been dedicated to advancing the industry towards 4K technology and then moving to 8K. In recent years, Hisense has been researching the best possible laser source for laser TVs, and has successfully developed a mature laser display technology using TI DLP technology. Thanks to the development of this technology, Hisense's laser TVs can now offer ultra-high-definition display and premium audio quality to all customers with less power. In collaboration with chipmaker Texas Instruments, Hisense has developed sophisticated laser displays that allow museums, art galleries, and even restaurants to deliver fully immersive experiences.

Hisense and TI commit to boosting display technology

Hisense and TI have been collaborating to perfect TV display technology for more than 10 years, aiming to provide customers with high-quality laser TVs and an immersive viewing experience. One of the most prominent products of this collaboration is Hisense's first 4K laser TV, which is equipped with the 0.66" TI DLP chipset and has gained great popularity among customers since its launch. Another 4K laser TV, the The Flagship L9, equipped with the TI DLP .47" chipset, also dominated the market with its up to 120-inch display. Hisense has chosen again this year the new TI DLP .94 "chipset for its first 8K laser TV. The 0.94" TI DLP chipset will allow more than 33 million pixels, which is four times more pixels than a 4K TV, bringing a new level of big-screen TV and movie experience to living rooms.

The close collaboration between TI and Hisense has been a success for many years. In the future, Hisense and TI will continue to collaborate to develop more advanced products and contribute to new breakthroughs in the entire laser display industry.
