Madrid, November 24, 2022.- Browsing in a way adapted to the needs and preferences of each user will now be possible with the new website developed by intu Xanadú. The Madrid complex page improves and facilitates navigation for people with different disabilities by accessing from the same original URL and from any computer.

Thus, people who are blind or visually impaired, with tired eyes, who do not know the language, who read it with difficulty or who prefer to listen to the web while doing another activity, will be able to do so from now on thanks to the fact that the page will read to the user. the content and options available, without having to see the screen.

The new platform will also facilitate navigation for people with paralysis, absence of upper limbs or pain when moving their arms, speaking to the web or making any type of sound, and without the need to use their hands or vocalize commands.

In addition to helping people with low vision or reduced mobility, the interface is also aimed at people with low digital competence, eyestrain, eyestrain, presbyopia or dyslexia.

With the aim of designing a 100% accessible and easy-to-use website, the platform has been developed by Insuit, a Spanish technology company that in turn collaborates with 'Red proyecto social', an association for people with multiple disabilities.

The launch of the new interface is part of the 'Intu Xanadú Commitment' campaign, an action plan launched by the Madrid complex since 2017 and whose objective is to generate a positive impact on people and the local community.

Likewise, the development of the new website is also in line with the implementation of the UNE 170001-2 standard, a Universal Accessibility certification that intu Xanadú obtained in 2010 and which has been recently renewed.

Awarded by AENOR, this recognition guarantees that all people -regardless of their age and abilities- have the same possibilities of access and with the greatest possible autonomy in the use and enjoyment of the facilities and services of the Madrid complex.
