Having obtained the building license from the Santiago del Teide City Council, Kategora begins the execution works of a strategic project in Puerto de Santiago, which will involve a private investment of 52 million euros
The Basque company Kategora begins the construction process of what will be its third project in Tenerife, whose opening is scheduled for the end of 2025. A complex of 105 homes, with large terraces facing the ocean and views of the neighboring island of La Gomera .The project, with organic and integrative architecture, meets the highest sustainability standards and is led by the prestigious Tenerife architects, Eustaquio Martínez and Virgilio Gutiérrez; the studio of Isabel López Vilalta as in charge of interior design; and, the La Tarde studio for the development of landscaping. "For us it is very important to have local collaborators that allow us to integrate the local character and essence into our complexes both at an aesthetic level and at a material level," says Kepa Apraiz, CEO and founder of Kategora. The choice of the name: "Tamaragua", "good morning" in Guanche, is a clear nod to its local identity. The orientation of the complex allows, every morning, La Gomera to say "good morning" to the residents illuminated by the first rays of dawn. In figures, Kora Tamaragua is a large-scale project with 24,000 m2 built and 13,000 m2 dedicated to areas exteriors and terraces. It will have a 300 m2 infinity pool and more than 6,000 m2 dedicated to the island's endemic vegetation. In addition, it will offer all kinds of services such as a wellness area, gym, beach club, and coworking spaces, among others. Its economic impact will be notable. It is estimated that 90 direct and 120 indirect jobs will be created during construction and 25 direct jobs during its subsequent management. Likewise, it will increase the residential offer in the area by attracting buyers and investors with high purchasing power and great environmental sensitivity, which will undoubtedly be good news for the municipality's economy.
