On March 10, 11 and 12, the historic building of the School of Mining and Energy Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSIME-UPM) will host the 42nd edition of this benchmark event in the dissemination of the Sciences of the Earth and sustainability to society, an essential appointment for collectors and highly recommended for families, especially the youngest

EXPOMINERALES MADRID 2023 will exhibit a wide variety of minerals, fossils, gems and meteorites from around the world, contributed by a select international group of specialized dealers, which make this fair an unmissable event for collectors, fans and groups from all over Spain. In addition, It is complemented by very diverse cultural proposals* throughout the fair, workshops for all ages, mining machinery, lithium and other mineral resources, gold panning, pyrite extraction and guided tours of the ETSIME-UPM. An exhibition on Women in science and technology will be shown and two conferences will be given: "Gems in Spain", by Benjamín Calvo and "Aralar, land of bears and hyenas", by Trinidad de Torres. The set of events that constitutes the Contest will be organized by the D. Felipe de Borbón y Grecia Mining Historical Museum, one of the oldest university museums in the Community of Madrid, belonging to the ETSIME-UPM. This late-19th-century mansion, located at 21 Ríos Rosas street, in the Chamberí neighborhood, is a jewel of Madrid architecture designed by Ricardo Velázquez Bosco, whose centenary is celebrated this year.
