On March 10, 11 and 12, the historic building of the School of Mining and Energy Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSIME-UPM) will host the 42nd edition of this benchmark event in the dissemination of the Sciences of the Earth and sustainability to society, an essential appointment for collectors and highly recommended for families, especially the youngest

EXPOMINERALES MADRID 2023 exhibits a wide variety of minerals, fossils, gems and meteorites from around the world, contributed by a select international group of specialized dealers, which make this fair an unavoidable meeting point for collectors, fans and groups from all over Spain. In addition, it is complemented with various cultural proposals* during its development, such as raffles among attendees, mineral recognition workshops for all ages, gold panning, pyrite extraction, an exhibition on women in science and technology and lectures on gemology and paleontology. The set of events that make up the Contest will be organized by the D. Felipe de Borbón y Grecia Mining Historical Museum, one of the oldest university museums in the Community of Madrid, belonging to ETSIME - UPM. This late 19th century mansion, located at 21 Ríos Rosas street, in the Chamberí neighborhood, is a jewel of Madrid architecture designed by Ricardo Velázquez Bosco, whose anniversary is celebrated this year. In this edition, it is sponsored by the College of Mining Engineers of Central Spain and the Higher Council of Colleges of Mining Engineers of Spain, as well as the support and collaboration of various public and private institutions: Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME-CSIC), Gómez Pardo Foundation ( FGP), Spanish Gemological Institute (IGE), Madrid Mineralogist Group (GMM), PRIMIGEA, Spanish Environmental Club (CEMA), International Association for Promoting Geoethics SPAIN (IAPG SPAIN), UPM Equality Unit, Social Entrepreneurship Unit, Ethics and Values ​​in Engineering (UESEVI-UPM), SDG Nodes ETSIME UPM and Tellus UPM.
