Half a million visitors are expected to attend and consolidate Getafe and the Community as a reference destination at Christmas. It will feature the largest life-size Nativity Scene in Europe and Dino Aventura, a Jurassic park where families can camp alongside the dinosaurs. It will host the 1st edition of the Christmas Music Festival, the most important Christmas music event which will see more than 50,000 people and which will bring together a program of more than 20 concerts and musical shows

Madrid, 11/29/2022.- The Community of Madrid is committed to being a benchmark for Christmas and consolidating itself on the world map of the celebration of these holidays by expanding its offer of activities and experiences. This year it will do so with the opening of Navidalia, a large free Christmas theme park in the municipality of Getafe.

Located in its Fairgrounds, it will open its doors on Friday, December 2 until January 9 and expects more than 500,000 people to pass through the facilities.

With more than 25,000 square meters, it will have multiple Christmas activities and attractions for all audiences, such as the largest life-size Nativity scene in Europe with more than 90 figures.

Music and shows will also be the protagonists of Navidalia, in whose facilities the 1st edition of the Navidalia Christmas Music Festival will take place, the most important musical event of the coming Christmas season, which will see more than 50,000 people and which will bring together a program of more than 20 concerts and musical shows with headliners such as the Vargas Blues Band, Cristina Ramos (winner of Got Talent on Telecinco), DJ Neill, Canelita or Junco along with tribute bands to Bruce Springsteen and Héroes del Silencio with the participation of the founding member, Gonzalo Valdivia, among others, remember and afternoon sessions, and children's bands like Superthings.

It will feature Dino Aventura, a Jurassic park with highly realistic animatronic figures for lovers of these creatures who will have the opportunity to live with them on a special day, "Sleeping with dinosaurs" in which they will be able to camp and sleep with them.

Attendees will be able to enjoy snow activities such as a sled race or an ice rink through which more than 150,000 people will be able to pass next Christmas and in whose facilities a special competition will take place with celebrities who will compete in support of different solidarity causes. Solidarity will be the protagonist at Christmas with the collection of toys to deliver them to associations and different groups, so that no child is left without gifts this Christmas.

All this will happen during the 40 days that the Christmas complex is open, in which the little ones will also be able to have a first contact with Santa Claus, his Elves and with Their Majesties The Magi from the East through their royal emissary and part of their entourage, who will collect the children's letters. There will be no shortage of food trucks, churrerías, typical cuisine of the Community of Madrid and children's attractions, a tourist train, a large Ferris wheel, a carousel and a Christmas market. All this, surrounded by aerial decoration elements, such as giant balloons, and visual projections and lighting. The opening ceremony of Christmas will take place next Friday, December 2 at 12:30 p.m. The production and assembly of Navidalia is an initiative of the Madrid Association of Fairmen AMFE with the collaboration of the Getafe City Council, the artistic direction of Comediarte and Adelante Artística and the sponsorship of Coca Cola and Victoria.
