LONDON, June 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- DXC Technology, a leading Fortune 500 global technology services company, has announced new roles for two of its senior executives in the London Market Joint Ventures, in association with Lloyd's and the International Underwriting Association (IUA).

The appointments will help drive digital transformation for the London and global insurance markets, helping them become more agile, secure and data-centric.

Chris Halbard, who was previously president of DXC's business in the EMEA region, will take over as CEO of London Market Joint Ventures. In this role, he will provide the leadership required for the next chapter of the growth and development of the Joint Ventures.

Ray August, Managing Director and Global Leader of DXC Insurance Software and Business Process Services, will join the board of directors of London Market Joint Ventures. Drawing on more than three decades of insurance and technology experience, he will help guide joint ventures to meet their commitments to the Lloyd's and London insurance markets, as well as expand their geographic reach into other markets.

"I am honored to lead London Market Joint Ventures into the next era, as we play a critical role in helping insurance companies modernize their legacy systems while optimizing them for the future with applications that run in the cloud and use the latest models of artificial intelligence," Halbard explained. "This is an exciting time for me to lead this incredibly talented and highly experienced team to ensure we deliver maximum value for customers and shareholders."

"Together, with Lloyd's and the IUA, we are building a global, agile and secure specialty insurance marketplace in London, fully aligned with the vision outlined in Lloyd's Blueprint Two," commented August. "I am delighted to take on a larger role and will reinforce a common goal with clear accountability among all stakeholders. Through this continued collaboration and teamwork, we will turn this vision into reality."

"Both Chris and Ray have been strong and active advocates of the joint ventures and delivery of Blueprint Two," said Bob James, Lloyd's COO. "These new appointments strengthen Joint Ventures as a key player in the insurance market with the skills and technology capabilities required to drive a deep and lasting transformation for London's other global insurance markets. Chris, the entire JV Board, IUA and Lloyd's are committed to the successful delivery of Blueprint Two which will enable a better, faster and cheaper set of services in a digital and cloud-based environment where structured and standardized data is at the core of how the market will operate in the future." .
