(Information sent by the signatory company)

Over time, multiple rankings have been developed aimed at positioning universities from different parts of the world so that current and future students can make decisions based on accurate information when choosing an institution. They also have the objective of developing policies aimed at improving the academic offer

Burgos, 12/5/2022.- In this sense, the U-Multirank ranking is analyzed, a European ranking considered one of the most important today. In it, the Universidad Isabel I reaches, on the one hand, the 23rd position among 76 Spanish universities in the teaching and learning criteria and the second position in the category of teaching staff and pedagogical training.

El rol del ranking U-Multirank

The first edition of U-Multirank was published in 2014 and since then it has evolved both in participating entities and in countries. The U-Multirank ranking is an initiative launched by the European Commission in Dublin under the European presidency of Ireland. Currently, it is financed by the Erasmus program and developed by a consortium led by the Center for Higher Education (CHE) in Germany, the Center for Science and Technology Studies of the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) at the University of Twente in the same country. As of 2018, in addition, the economic contributions of two new sponsors have been incorporated, which are the Santander Group in Spain and the Bertelsmann Foundation in Germany.

What this ranking seeks is to provide a multidimensional and international vision of higher education institutions around five areas: teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional development.

It is considered the most inclusive ranking as it is able to reflect the diversity of higher education around the world. As has been said, five different criteria are met, so there is no university that is considered the best in general.

The place of the Isabel I University in the U-Multirank

The Isabel I University appears well positioned among Spanish universities, occupying position 23 out of a total of 76 Spanish institutions valued in the teaching and learning criteria. Within this category, it has obtained the highest score in Pedagogically Trained Teachers, placing it in the second position at the national level and also in Graduating on time in bachelor's degrees, occupying the same position. Mention that only Ui1 and Antonio de Nebrija obtain the highest score in this aspect.

Currently, the Isabel I University has a wide academic offer of official, own and professional training degrees. In official titles, it teaches a total of 12 degrees, 6 double degrees and 18 master's degrees, another 13 postgraduate degrees, as well as continuing education courses. Finally, the UI1 has considerably increased its academic offer of Vocational Training over time. Thus, as previously the Advanced Training Cycle in Higher Technician in Teaching and Socio-sports Animation was already included, there are also 4 online and 20 more face-to-face cycles that make up the catalog of these training options of the Rio Duero FP Center, owned by the Isabel I University Foundation.

In this way and through the incorporation of new programs and new agreements with different national institutions and organizations, the Isabel I University is acquiring an increasingly relevant place and is now positioned, according to the U-Multirank, as one of the best university entities in Spain, with an innovative educational system based on quality distance learning, adaptable to the needs and life of each student.
