The new software product is designed to facilitate the deployment of 5G small cells for indoor applications and the synchronization of network elements. The Network Listening Module (NLM) is an ideal solution for self-organizing networks (SONs) as it solves GPS blackouts, provides time and frequency reference, and reduces the operational cost of deploying GPS antennas. By unifying NLM with SON, 5G small cells can self-tune and configure their parameters based on their environment, avoiding potential conflicts with other base stations.
