Madrid, April 18, 2023.- Gestilar, the real estate group chaired by Javier García-Valcárcel strengthens its strategy of opening up to new market segments with the appointment of Ruth Iglesias as the new Commercial Director of the Gestilar group.
Founded in 2009, Gestilar has a long history in the development sector endorsed by more than 6,000 homes designed and promoted to date, being considered one of the largest in our country and recognized for its corporate identity, where quality, both its locations and its architecture, the interior design of its homes and the excellent attention to detail.
Opening to new business segments
Gestilar currently has ten projects underway, with close to 2,000 homes under construction and land to promote another 1,500 homes. In addition to the Build to Sell (BTS) promotion, its core business, it expressed its desire to continue growing by opening up to the direct promotion of new construction projects for rent (Build to Rent or BTR). Additionally, the company has gradually incorporated new business branches until it became the group of real estate companies that it is today. Specifically, in September 2022 it presented Cooper by Gestilar, a new brand whose business is based on the management of residential projects under a cooperative regime. A month later, in October 2022, Homes by Gestilar was presented, a proptech whose business consists of buying, renovating and selling homes already built with a very powerful technological component that supports the entire operation.
Such a business strategy must be accompanied by internal changes to adapt the structure to the new reality of the group.
The multidisciplinary profile of Ruth Iglesias, in addition to in-depth knowledge in the commercial and sales area, is completed with a comprehensive vision of the real estate sector thanks to the fact that, in her more than 20 years of professional career, she has developed positions of responsibility in other fields such as marketing, customer service or after-sales, having also collaborated in attracting promotions, land and project feasibility studies.
More than 20 years of sales experience
Ruth brings to the group a deep commercial knowledge developed in different business areas such as real estate development, with more than 20 years of experience behind her in this field, residential rental or consulting.
He began his career in the real estate sector in consultancies such as Knight Frank or CBRE, in the latter, in addition to being responsible for the entire commercial strategy, marketing, customer service and post-sales promotions, he created a new line of international business for the sale of homes in Florida for Spanish investors.
At Sacyr Vallehermoso, she was sales director, being responsible for 253 promotions nationwide, which led her to implement her own sales network. At Acciona, she managed the rental and management of more than 1,600 homes, once again implementing an adhoc commercial network. Later, as Commercial Manager of the Central Delegation, in addition to being responsible for the commercial strategy, marketing, customer service and after-sales of all the promotions of the delegation, she also participated in the management and study of land purchases.
In recent years, Ruth has been in charge of the Commercial Department, at Savills Aguirre Newman and, later, at the developer Kronos Homes, being responsible for the commercial, marketing, customer service and after-sales teams for Spain and Portugal.
