RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Saudi Arabia's Tanmiah Food Company ("Tanmiah" or the "Company", 2281 Saudi Stock Exchange) and US-based Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) met this week in Jeddah to recognize their realized strategic partnership in 2022, including potential growth opportunities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.
Senior managers from each company were joined in the event by esteemed guests of the Saudi Government, including Deputy Minister, H.E. Ing. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti, from Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the delegate Ing. Albader bin Adil Foudah, from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in addition to the US Consul General in Jeddah, Faris Asad, and the Commercial Counselor, Julie LeBlanc.
The association is well positioned to help sustainably meet the Kingdom's growing demand for poultry, while also supporting the Kingdom's food security and economic growth goals. The companies discussed the growing Halal food market and the opportunities it presents to unlock future growth for the association. Both companies also discussed future expansion plans to increase Supreme Foods Processing Company's processing capacity. Under the partnership agreement, Tyson Foods and Tanmiah will jointly invest in expanded processing capacity. The expansion is expected to increase Supreme Foods Processing's total production capacity to nearly 100,000 metric tons per year.
