The main purpose of this event is to take advantage of the opportunities that arise in the field of energy and climate change, promoting innovation to reduce energy consumption and Telefónica's carbon footprint globally. During this Workshop, the most recent initiatives in energy efficiency and renewable energies are presented and shared. In addition, it becomes the ideal forum to analyze and establish new challenges, as it brings together key areas of the company, such as network infrastructure, finance, purchasing and sustainability. The event attracts more than 250 participants from all countries in which Telefónica has a presence. After 14 years of successful editions, it can be said that Telefónica's Global Workshop on Energy and Climate Change has established itself as a fundamental event to promote a low-carbon economy in the company. Last year, Óscar Landínez from Tempel Group Colombia, presented a presentation on the migration and replacement of VRLA lead battery banks with LFP lithium bank technology.
