This acquisition by UL Solutions expands its global testing, simulation and certification expertise in Europe for products that support the adoption of renewable energy and electric vehicles.
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Aug. 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- UL Solutions, a world leader in applied safety sciences, today announced the acquisition of CERE, a Madrid-based third-party testing, simulation and certification company owned by private.

The acquisition allows UL Solutions to expand its grid code compliance testing, grid simulation and certification services for inverter-based resources that support the adoption of renewable energy and electric vehicles in Europe. In addition, the acquisition also enhances UL Solutions' electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety services for renewable energy and medical devices.
